Creatures Of Comfort
"Creatures of Comfort" at OMM - Odunpazarı Modern Museum brings together contemporary artworks and whimsical designs. Curated by Idil Tabanca, this exhibition features international artists and designers whose creations transcend traditional boundaries in painting, sculpture, installation, and furniture design, redefining the relationship between form and function. In an era where modern humans spend more than three-quarters of their lives indoors, nature feels more distant than ever. "Creatures of Comfort" explores works that create space for nature to re-enter our urban lives. The artists incorporate elements of nature and human characteristics into their creations, bringing soul to functional objects.
Under Two Suns
Curated by Aslı Seven, “Under Two Suns” offers a journey through refractions of light and cast shadows into the profoundly solar, relational, and mutating nature of our being in the world with selected works from the Erol Tabanca Collection.
Light Source
Ata Doğruel's performance, during which the artist lives in a pitch dark room for 40 days / 960 hours and sees the light only when a visitor with a candle comes in, provides an opportunity to observe social life and relations, as well as physical and mental boundaries and shifts.
Grief and Pleasure
Bringing together works by 38 artists, “Grief and Pleasure” focuses on all bodily mechanisms that enable contradictory states such as grief and pleasure to co-exist, along with emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, disgust, contempt and shame.
Don’t Look Back, Deep is the Past
Bringing together 41 works by 31 artists, the exhibition focuses on the ways we define the "other".
At the End of the Day
